Ticket Cancellation – Required Documentation
To initiate a cancellation request for tickets booked via BookMyShow, please ensure the following documents and details are available:
Mandatory Information
Booking ID / Transaction Reference Number Found in your confirmation email or under “Purchase History” in your BookMyShow account.
Registered Email ID or Mobile Number Used during the original booking to verify your identity.
Event or Movie Details Include the name of the event/movie, venue, date, and time.
Additional Documents (if applicable)
These may be required in special cases such as medical emergencies or event cancellations:
Government-issued ID proof For identity verification (e.g., Aadhaar, PAN, Passport).
Medical Certificate or Emergency Documentation If requesting cancellation due to health or personal emergencies.
Proof of Payment Screenshot or bank statement showing the transaction, if refund issues arise.
Cancellation Protection Confirmation If you purchased BookMyShow’s optional Cancellation Protection add-on, include proof for faster processing
Refund Timeline
Refunds to original payment method: 5–7 business days
Refunds to BMS Cash: Within 2 hours
Gift voucher refunds: Credited back to the same voucher within 24 hours
